Chapter 812 Bonding Activity For A Family Of Four

At this moment, Nico returned to the observation room. He saw Cedrick and Joe alone in the cell. His heart rate

suddenly quickened. “This is bad,” he thought and hurriedly rushed over.

Joe was a madman and a skilled fighter. If he ends up hurting Cedrick, Nico would be to blame.

Inside the cell, seeing that Joe was already dead drunk, Cedrick didn’t want to waste any more time. He picked up

his coat and turned to leave.

Cedrick returned to the company with a cold expression on his face. The employees, who were originally dozing off,

immediately stood up to greet him when they saw him. “M-Mr. Jenson!”

Upon hearing that Cedrick had returned, everyone immediately perked up, fearing that a moment’s inattention

would invoke a scolding from Cedrick.

In the company, Cedrick was known for being strict and ruthless. No one dared to cross him.

Upon learning that Cedrick had returned to the company, his assistant immediately organized all the documents

and delivered papers to him.

“Everything in the company is running smoothly. Here are the latest meeting minutes and key points. Is there

anything else you need?”

Flipping through the documents handed over by his assistant, Cedrick casually waved his hand.

In the afternoon, Cedrick issued the company’s requirements and performance goals for the new quarter.

Everyone looked at the document posted on the company’s website, their faces filled with dismay.

The good old days were over now that Cedrick had returned. It was time to start working overtime again.

After one day, Cedrick finally finished dealing with his backlog. He felt a faint pain from the bruises on his body.

As he got up, his movements tugged at his wound, causing an unbearable surge of pain. Immediately, Cedrick bent

over.

As soon as his assistant entered the room, he immediately noticed that something was off with Cedrick. He quickly

rushed over to help him up.

“Mr. Jenson, what’s wrong with you?”

Cedrick’s lips were pale. He furrowed his brows and said. “I’m fine. Please take me to the hospital.”

His assistant immediately drove him to the hospital.

Aside from the bruises on his body, there was nothing seriously wrong with Cedrick. After taking a painkiller, he

returned to the lab.

The sun had already set when Gwendolyn picked up Zendaya from kindergarten.

Their life seemed to have finally returned to normal.

Through the small window of the ward, Cedrick saw Gwendolyn playing and laughing with two children. With a smile

in his eyes, he pushed the door and walked in.

“Daddy!”

Zendaya rushed over, darting straight into his arms, almost tumbling over in the process.

The little girl excitedly said, “I was praised by my kindergarten teacher today. She said I’m the bravest kid in the

class. Also, our teacher mentioned that tomorrow is Parent-Child Day. I wonder if Daddy has time to attend?

Cedrick gently rubbed her head, smiling as he replied. “If it’s your request, how can Daddy not go?”

“Awesome!”

Excitedly, Zendaya planted a kiss on Cedrick’s face. She then vividly recounted how her teacher had praised her

that day in the hospital room.

However, Benedict, who was lying on the hospital bed, didn’t look as happy. He lowered his eyes, concealing a hint

of disappointment in his gaze.

Even though he didn’t care about playing with children his age, he was still hoping to make friends.

Gwendolyn noticed the change in her son’s expression. She sat next to him, pulling him into a comforting embrace.

“What’s the matter, Benny? Are you upset?”

Benedict nestled his head into the crook of Gwendolyn’s arm. “Mom, is my health not going to get better?”

Sensing Benedict’s low spirits, Gwendolyn softly comforted. “Medical science is very advanced now, Benny, rest

assured. Mr. Mallory will find the most suitable treatment plan for you. Your illness will surely be cured. It’s just a

matter of time.”

She could understand why her son was unhappy, especially when she saw how much fun Zendaya was having at

kindergarten, which only intensified his desire to go to school.

Gwendolyn’s heart ached for him.

The next day, Gwendolyn and Cedrick, along with their two children, arrived at the kindergarten to participate in the

parent-child activity.

The moment their family of four arrived at the kindergarten entrance, they immediately drew the attention of all

the parents present.

Upon seeing Cedrick, quite a few female parents couldn’t help but whisper to the people next to them.

“My goodness, do we actually have such parents in our ordinary kindergarten? Their family of four looks amazing,

don’t they?”

“Exactly, look at that guy. He’s even more handsome than a movie star. Could he actually be a celebrity?”

“Come on, which celebrity would send their child to a public kindergarten? Their children are so precious. they’re

meant for prestigious schools”

The mothers whispered among themselves as they watched Cedrick, while some of the fathers were silently

watching Gwendolyn, their eyes almost glued to her.

The buzz of everyone’s chatter reached Gwendolyn’s ears, and she couldn’t help but tease. “Mr. Jenson is truly

unique. No matter where he appears, he’s always the center of attention.”

Hearing his wife’s slightly sour tone, Cedrick laughed and put an arm around her shoulder. “No matter how

formidable, I’m still your man? Don’t worry, Darling, I’m very committed. You, on the other hand, are so beautiful

that I want to hide it away, not allowing any other man to lay eyes on you.”

Seeing their parents openly displaying affection as if no one else was around, Benedict and Zendaya couldn’t help

but pout.

“Daddy, Mommy, could you please consider me and Benny? We’re still here!”

The little girl in her arms pouted, putting on an angry face. Gwendolyn found it adorable, pinched her soft little

check, and carried her into the kindergarten.

Parent-child activities were divided into indoor and outdoor sections. For the indoor part, the mother and child

would be working together to complete a watercolor painting. The final decision on the best watercolor painting is

determined by a vote from all the parents present.

The watercolor painting that received the most votes would be awarded a kindergarten honor medal. Before the

holidays, one could go to the teacher to pick their desired gift.

Outdoors, the father and child were required to complete three parent-child activities together. One of them was

called the “Hatching Chicks” project. The kindergarten would provide a newspaper for this task. The parent was

responsible for tearing the newspaper from the middle, and the child had to pass through the hole without

damaging the newspaper.

The second activity required the parent and their children to work together to transport designated items. They

must overcome various obstacles and collaborate to achieve the goal.

The third activity was to exercise the child’s climbing ability. The child who completes the rock climbing within the

shortest time would be the winner.

A child who wins all three projects will receive two honors, a certificate, and a medal of honor awarded by the

kindergarten.

After hearing the game rules, Cedrick found these activities to be extremely boring and childish.

However, his wife and kids seemed really excited about it.

Seeing the boredom in Cedrick’s expression, Gwendolyn glared at him and warned, “If you dare to mess up Zendy’s

parent-child activity, I’ll punish you by not allowing you to sleep in the study for a month.”
