Chapter 487 Prepare a Fallback

"Alexa, you are so shrewd."

Nina smiled coldly and defiantly.

But Alexa looked very calm.

"Why are you so hostile to me, Ms. Ramsey?"

"Don't pretend that you don't know the answer."

Nina rolled her eyes arrogantly in front of Alexa.

"You think you can hide your ambition?" Nina said bluntly. "No matter how hard you try, the Ramsey

family's things still can't be yours."

Alexa did not reply. Instead, she calmly looked behind Nina.

"Are you done with work so quickly?" she asked with a smile.

"Edwin said you've come to the company," Terrence replied. "So I ended the meeting and came to

you."

As soon as Nina heard Terrence's voice, her face paled.

The three were in the same room, and one could cut the air with a knife.

Terrence looked at Nina in an unfriendly way.

"What are you doing here?" he asked coldly.

Nina immediately restrained herself.

"I came to ask what this decision means," Nina said grumpily. "Why did the board of directors suddenly

demote me?"

"There are still a lot of assets under your name whose sources are unclear. You should feel grateful

that it's only demotion."

Terrence's tone was flat.

But when he looked over, Nina panicked a little.

"So you are suspecting me?"

"The board of directors has already commissioned a commissioner to investigate. The results will be

out soon."

"You think you can make me scared by telling me all this?"

"Not really. Just want you to know."

Terrence never gave a damn about her, which made Nina quite unhappy.

She had lost this battle, so she walked away with a gloomy expression.

But Terrence suddenly brought up another thing.

"You have been working with Jovan in France all these years, haven't you?"

"You should know how he hates the Ramsey family," Terrence said coldly. "Stop before it's too late."

Nina ignored him. She walked like she wanted to make holes in the floor with her high heels.

After she left, the atmosphere in the office was instantly better.

Terrence sat down next to Alexa. He looked like a different person now.

"Ms. Duran, what can I do for you?"

"I'm fine."

Terrence had already put his hand on her waist and taken her into his

arms.

"I just met Thalia. We passed by a bakery, so I bought some snacks for you."

It was not the first time she had come to the company to see him, but Terrence was still very happy and

kissed her.

"Thank you, darling."

He said very seriously and called her darling with immense affection.

"What's it with Nina?"

"Just like that."

Nina was no different than a stranger to Terrence, and he handled her thing in a strictly businesslike

manner.

"It is a felony to use power for personal gain. Moreover, she and Hyman

have done a lot of nasty things. It is time to make them pay for it."

And at this time, Nina had just arrived at the underground parking lot.

But just as she got in the car, she got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello, Mrs. Fillion. Your husband is drunk in our hotel. Could you please

come and pick him up?"

The hotel manager and a group of people were waiting for her at the door

of the presidential suite. After seeing Nina, he said servilely.

"Open the door."

After Nina walked in, she found the room reeked of alcohol. She also

smelled perfume.

She slammed the door shut, and the man lying on the bed opened his eyes

unhappily but didn't lose his temper.

"Why are you here? Did they call you?"

"Hyman, is there any joy for you in doing this?" Nina said coldly. "If you

want to disgust me by doing this, there is no need."

"Why am I disgusting you?" Hyman asked. "Don't you only care about

money? You care about these things too?"

Nina silently suppressed the anger in her chest and pretended to be calm.

"Take your ID card, and let's divorce today."

Her tone was very light as if she was just talking about an insignificant

matter.

"If we divorce, you will have to give half of your money to me. Are you willing to give it away?"

"I have evidence of your cheating on me, so you will not get anything

from me," Nina declared coldly. "I will also do my best to get my son's

custody."

"Nina, you are so prepared." Hyman sneered. "But have you prepared a

fallback?"

"What do you mean?"

"Derick has already been caught. Do you know about this?"

Nina didn't reply, but her constricted pupils had exposed her nervousness

at the moment.

Hyman looked at her reaction and suddenly felt the pleasure of revenge.

"Who told you that?"

"Keyon caught him himself," Hyman said gloatingly. "The news was

released last night, but you were probably busy investigating the women around me, so you didn't

notice it."

"Hyman, don't be so smug." Nina's lips twitched slightly. "Didn't you

also participate in what Jovan did?"

Hyman paused for a moment, then looked at her and said word by word.

The news of her and Hyman being taken away by the police from the

hotel spread like wildfire.

Because Nina was a senior executive in Hudson Group, the media quickly

focused their attention on the company.

But Terrence soon showed the public he had nothing to do with Nina, so

there was no public relations crisis.

However, Cory couldn't stay calm. He immediately gathered the elders of the Ramsey family to

pressure Terrence.

"Terrence, you are disgracing the Ramsey family's name by doing this!"

"If one has done nothing bad, then there is nothing to be afraid of," Terrence said unhurriedly. "I believe

in the results of the police investigation."

"No matter what the final result is, my daughter's reputation is ruined." Cory stood up angrily. "I will take

her back to France now."

"You can't take her away as you wish now," Alexa said. "And you are not

innocent, right?"

"What do you mean?"

"We have investigated for so many years. Do you really think that those

things were not found out at all?"

"Don't talk nonsense."

"The evidence has been given to the police. After Derick gives his testimony, you will know whether I
