Splash! In the dark and damp basement, a basin of cold water was poured down on Hannah Parker’s

head. Hannah could not help but shiver. She heard Calvin Fullerton’s voice. “Hannah, why did you run

away when Liam went back to look for you that night? Why didn’t you call the police after the car

accident? Why did you watch him die?” His voice was cold and ruthless. Biting the tip of her tongue,

Hannah forced herself to stay conscious. Liam Fullerton, Calvin’s brother, had raised her for ten years.

In fact, everyone in Greenville knew Liam adored her as much as Calvin, who ran away from home at a

young age. However, why did Hannah watch Liam die and did not even attempt to rescue him? ”You

should be the one to die, not Liam!” Calvin exclaimed. “Vin!” Hannah’s throat was dry. As she writhed

on the floor, her body seemed to be mysteriously alluring. “Vin? How dare you call me that? You’re not

the sister I used to know!” Calvin’s expression darkened. Hearing that, Hannah could not help but

quiver even though she could not see the rage in Calvin’s eyes. Calvin touched Hannah’s body.

Immediately, Hannah felt her body turn hot. Although she had imagined all the possible scenes of

giving herself to him, she had never thought of this possibility. It was a nightmare for Hannah on the

night of September 13th, and she could still remember it vividly. She finished work early that night and

went home earlier than usual. However, as soon as she stepped into the house, she heard Liam’s

voice. She wanted to give him a surprise, so she went and hid behind the door. “You mean Hannah?

I’ve provided the best things for her for the past ten years. Nice clothes and shoes, good food, and

almost everything she needs. She meets all the requirements!” Liam was talking to someone over the

phone. Requirements? What requirements? Hannah wondered. Suppressing her curiosity, she

continued to eavesdrop. Liam’s voice sounded strange that night, and it seemed that he was assuring

someone. “I’m sure she’s a virgin and the leader will like her. I’ve raised her for so many years…”

Hearing that, Hannah was shocked. She did not dare to eavesdrop anymore. All she could do was

stand still. In fact, she could not even think clearly. What happened next was even more horrifying.

Hannah saw Liam pressing a girl under his body. Liam seemed like a totally different person that night.

Even when Liam was stuck under the car and was dying, he still strangled Hannah’s neck, even though

she was trying to save him. However, would Calvin believe what she had seen and heard that night?

Liam was Calvin’s elder brother, and Calvin had always respected him. As for Hannah, she was only an

orphan adopted by Liam. After that night, almost everyone in Greenville thought of her as an ungrateful

woman. She was the one who left the Fullerton residence and caused Liam to meet with a car

accident. Not only that, she did not even save him and watch him die. Who will believe me? Liam was the person who raised me for ten years, and I didn’t save him! Even I myself couldn’t believe it! Hannah

mused. “Liam had fed and clothed you. How could you just watch him die? At the funeral, you didn’t

even shed a single tear!” Calvin grabbed Hannah’s jaw. “How could you be so heartless?” There was

deep hatred in Calvin’s eyes. For so many years, Calvin was away from home, and the only person he

missed was Liam. He knew Liam adopted Hannah and adored her a lot. However, he could not believe

Liam died in the end because of her. Calvin glared at Hannah whose face turned red as she struggled.

It was not until she was about to pass out that he let go of his hands. “Don’t you like running away?”

Calvin pulled away the blindfold covering Hannah’s eyes, and suddenly everything in front of Hannah

became brighter. “I want you to remember everything that happens tonight for the rest of your life!”

Calvin pointed at a camera at the bedside and bellowed each word, as if he were a judge delivering a

sentence. The camera would record everything. Calvin wanted to ruin Hannah’s reputation and trample

her dignity under his feet. Calvin’s handsome face was like a devil from hell. Hannah was responsible

for Liam’s death, and he wanted to vent all his anger on her. Liam adored her so much, but he lost his life because of her! I must destroy her now! Calvin was exasperated. The side effects of the drug were

getting stronger. Hannah stuck her fingernails in her palms. Extreme fear enveloped her. “Vin! You’re

just like Liam. You’re all bastards!” she shouted. The rain was pouring heavily, and it seemed that no

one could hear Hannah even though she was shouting. Hannah felt her skin turn hot as if she were on

fire. Nonetheless, she felt so cold after a moment. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
