Chapter 59 - Club[2]

Amidst the path that Lucas and Roan were walking, there were many students around them as the path was bustling with students searching for a suitable club.

As Lucas and Roan were playing pushing and pulling Roan staggered and stumbled to the boy at the side.

The boy looked at Roan with a venomous gaze and roared "Asshole can't you see where you step."

"Sorry. I just staggered in my steps".Roan shuttered in his speech, seeing the boy angry look.

" Asshole who are you kidding. I have seen many donkey-like you who had their brain in their knees."

"Do you think this daddy will just leave you?" The boy spoke angrily.

As Lucas was partially responsible for it, he felt slight guilt so he tried to calm down the matter by asking for an apology

pᴀɴda nᴏvel " Buddy, sorry for the inconvenience."Lucas apologized in an earnest tone.

"Let's forget about this matter "Lucas scanned the boy from head to toe seeing his rough attitude.

After living around in the academy for a while, Lucas had already taken note of the noble lackeys and the boy before he didn't belong to any faction.

" Who the hell are you to disrupt my speech."The boy looked at Lucas in disdain.

Lucas frowned hearing the boy speech. He was starting to get annoyed.

"Bow down and beg for forgiveness and lick my..."

Before he could finish his sentence he felt an intense killing intent that froze him in shock.

As he lifted his eyes to look, he saw the boy with golden eyes which looked dark like a black hole staring at him with a cold icy gaze who was just speaking to him humbly before.

The coldness in his eyes sent a chill down his spine. Warning him to know his place.

The more he looked at him, the more frightened he became and his legs started to tremble.

After coming to this world, the number of monsters Lucas killed were more than fifty taking into account that every week he went into the dungeon, he killed one or two monsters at the least.

His killing intent may have not formed fully as those who have taken countless lives but it was enough to threaten even Fredrick.

Even the ones that were present there took a few steps back feeling the pressure Lucas was giving.

The pressure that was emitted from Lucas body was comparable to the 3-Star which was too much for them to bear.

"What were you saying before. Why don't to repeat it once again?" Lucas asked as his eyes flashed in coldness.

" Brother I...I was just joking. It was just a small matter nothing more. Brother, no needs to get serious over this small matter, "The boy spoke as he fall onto his knees.

"Just because I appeared to be humble, you think you can climb over my head".Lucas spoke increasing the pressure.

" You are quite lucky you found me while messing around. If it would be someone from high society even I can't imagine how much suffering they will give you."

As the boy fell back on the ground, he felt that pressure suddenly disappeared and he looked up to see Lucas giving him a slight glance before walking away followed by Roan.

The boy wiped off the sweats on his forehead. For a moment he felt he is gonna be killed. He swore in his heart not to make trouble for others.

He was in bad mood from this morning so as he found the opportunity to bulky this weak 1-Star nerd he thought he found the right person to vent his anger.

However, today his luck almost screwed him.

"If I would have met this fellow alone I would have put more pressure on him and would have played with him for more time but as the attention of the crowd was starting to point towards me I let him go, "Lucas spoke for Roan to hear.

'I was scared to catch attention before so I wanted to remain low key .'

'Remain low key. Haa. Screw that plan.No low key unless required.'

After much thought, Lucas had already figured out that the moment he stepped into the horizon the low key plan had failed.

Secondly, his growth is too much to hide under the veil.

Just think about a 1-Star rank warrior reaching 2-Star with bronze bloodline within 3 months which should have taken at least 8 months to 1 year.

How can he remain low key with that? It's not that he can just stop becoming stronger just to remain low key.

Even with sufficient time along with a golden bloodline, there are many 3 Stars in the second year. This proves higher bloodline only enhance your chances and possibilities. Whether you take the chance to strive ahead or ignore it, completely depends on you.

As Lucas and Roan walked ahead.

Roan looked at Lucas wanting to speak but no words came out from his throat. He was still in shock seeing Lucas cold expression.

Even though he was looking at Lucas from the side his eyes were enough to freeze him like ice.

Roan mustering his courage tried to speak"Lu... Lucas are you alright."

"Hmm.", Lucas looked back and was somewhat surprised seeing Roan going back to his old timid old self.

"Yes, I am alright. Why, do I look any different?"Lucas asked raising his brows.

"It's not that. It's just your entire aura changed when you confronted that boy. As if you are possessed by someone else. You looked quite cold and indifferent."Roan answered.

"Hmm. Now that you say."Lucas put his hand on his chin and started thinking about the moment.

It was quite unusual. Although he looked cold at the moment, that wasn't what he was worried about rather his will asked him to dominate his opponent and crush them who disobey him.

He doesn't know when he started to change from his usual self who always survey the situation first before making a move.

Maybe after the explosion incident or after seeing the kids being treated as slaves. His heart has been morphed into a tenacious being that doesn't want anyone to take him lightly.

Does that mean that he had become careless and let his arrogance take over him? No definitely not. Cause if he had let his arrogance take over him he wouldn't be humble and apologised first.

After all, he knew it was his fault, to begin with still as long as someone doesn't try to test his patience crossing the line, he is ready to bow down and ask for forgiveness.

Still, if the other party wanted to make things difficult for him they should be ready for the consequences. As he may take it laying today but he will surely bare his fangs at any opening his enemy will show.

For a moment Lucas has been deep in thought after all it is normal for one view to change. Change is necessary for one's survival.

As the saying goes, if one doesn't change themselves with the situation and time, they are left behind by others only to regret it.

It would be unusual if Lucas didn't change after his deeds.

Roan looked at Lucas who was contemplating something closing his eyes. As soon as Lucas opened his eyes he saw Lucas eye changing to his normal self which looked as bright as the sun which had guided him after he met Lucas.

At first, he was fearful of Lucas, finding it hard to bear as he kept him pushing forward. But with the flow of time, he slowly managed to get used to Lucas.

Lucas may look naive and innocent but once you touch his reverse scale his innocent eyes will change into a hunter wanting to hunt his prey whatever may be the cost.

He may not have seen him fighting the slave trader but after Lucas left the scene Fredrick has described his amazing fight.

He has also described the cold and indifferent eyes that can lock his enemies in fear when Lucas fought with the 3 Star.

Even Fredrick shuddered for a moment seeing Lucas cold eyes. But what makes him happy is that those eyes wouldn't be directed at him.

That's what he wish and prayed from the bottom of his heart.

" Has someone told you. You looked like a demon when you got angry."Roan teased Lucas

"Naw. I don't think I have friends besides you."Lucas chuckled while replying to Roan.

'You are one of the first friends that I have made in this life after coming into this world.'Lucas muttered inwardly.

"How is Jay doing," Roan asked curiously.

After they departed on that day. Roan hadn't seen Jay nor he had heard anything of him from Lucas.

"He is fine. You can say he is working as an errand boy in a mercenary," Lucas answered

Roan frowned and blurted out his words "Mercenary."

" Isn't he too small to work as mercenary and he hasn't even awakened his mana".

"Tell me the truth. Have you sold him to a mercenary for money, "Roan asked in a slightly agitated tone?

A small vein bulged on his forehead after seeing Roan misunderstand. But what annoyed him was how Roan thought that Lucas sold the one he saved himself.

"Bastard. I haven't sold him. He will not be going to the dungeon or anything. He will just train and help around in small things. Not fighting a monster and did you think of me as a child trader?" Lucas spoke angrily

" I have thought to use him as a butler in the future.

If he can become stronger."Lucas spoke

"Butler. Like those in the nobles." Roan asked curiously as only nobles have butlers.

" Aren't you dreaming too high? Are you already planning of upgrading your status from a commoner to noble? How will you gain the title?"Roan asked.

Lucas pondered about. He hasn't thought about upgrading his status. Still, in the story, there was a small description that many commoners can rise to the ranks if they have enough merit and enough land under them to claim the title.

Casually talking on the way they reached their destination in front of a huge building that looked old despite its magnificent appearance

The Swords Club.

"It's time to depart.. See you later."Waving his hand bidding farewell to Roan, Lucas opened the door and went inside
