Xaviera threatened Lucas because it was obvious that she wanted money. After all, all the money she had from the

divorce and the money she had after mortgaging the house had been invested in her lover’s business. However,

the business was not going well, and she owed much debt.

Now, she wanted to take over Lucas’ stall to pay off the debt.

Lucas’ face turned red as he suppressed his emotions. Xaviera’s shameless threat put him in a dilemma for a

moment.

Amelia took a step forward and looked at Xaviera coldly. “Lucas and I are just friends. If you want to start rumors,

He spoke as if he was implying that Amelia and him were together, while Lucas was just a mere outsider.

Lucas looked embarrassed all of a sudden.

Amelia looked at Warren and asked, “What are you doing here?”

“If I told you that I came here because I missed you and Aiden, would you believe me?” Warren asked.

“I think we have made it clear enough between us. Your actions will only cause me trouble, Mr. York,” she said.

“Trouble?” Warren laughed sarcastically, pointing at Lucas. “I will cause you trouble, but what about him? Won’t he

give you trouble too?”
