Zeke was staring at his girlfriend, Jenny. Although she was wearing such a gorgeous dress, he was

distracted. His mind was full of what he had seen last night. Jackson and Serenity’s faces were flashing

through his mind.

Zeke still felt that what he had seen last night was like a dream. He thought, ‘What the hell is going on?

Serenity and Jackson? What the hell is going on between them?!”

Jenny was unhappy seeing her fiance so distracted. She frowned, asking, “What’s wrong with you? You

have been so distracted since yesterday. Why are you still so distracted today? If you don’t want to be

engaged to me, just say so.”

Startled, Zeke hurried up and reassured her with a smile, “How could that be? Why wouldn’t I want to

be engaged to you? You should know that I’m absolutely devoted to you.”

“Devoted to me?” Jenny arched her brow. “So you really don’t love Serenity anymore?”

Zeke’s expression faltered slightly. He asked, feeling somewhat uncomfortable, “Why did you mention

her again? It’s been three years since we broke up. How could I possibly still love her?”

“Then why did you want to introduce her to jobs before?” Jenny questioned.

“I just felt sorry for her,” Zeke said.

“Why would you feel sorry for her? You should feel sorry for my sister. She died because of her!”

Jenny grunted coldly, “Don’t try to pity her again. Otherwise, my family probably won’t be putting in a

good word for you when Jackson comes for you in the future.”

Zeke’s expression turned slightly odd. He naturally would not feel anything wrong with what his

girlfriend had said before seeing what he had seen last night. However, with how things were…

What Jenny had said might not be true, and Serenity’s existence might mean something else.

After a moment of hesitation, he asked tentatively, “Jenny, do you know if Jackson has a new girl

recently?”

“Impossible.” Jenny denied it in a heartbeat. “Jackson is known to be abstinent. He has never had any

women in these three years!”

The outside world thought that Jackson loved Jenny’s sister deeply because of that, but only the Hall

‘I knew this was coming! Zeke thought and exhaled a long sigh. “Sure. I’ll go with you to see Mr. Valor.”

“Zeke? What’s going on?” Jenny asked.

Zeke grimaced slightly, “We’ll talk about it later.” After that, he got into the car with Connor.

Jenny was full of doubt as she watched the car drive away. Meanwhile, inside the car, Zeke looked at

Connor anxiously.

“Mr. Gunn, do you know what Mr. Valor wants to see me for?”
