Earlier in the morning, Serenity had told Zeke that the man was just her brother. However, he had to

reconfirm it before feeling at ease.

Zeke drove to the entrance of a rural residential area. He left the car, entered the neighborhood, and

searched for the specific unit.

After some effort, he finally stopped in front of a narrow door.

“This is a typical rural house for rent. Is this where Serenity lives?’ Zeke thought.

Zeke heard some footsteps approaching just as he was about to knock on the door and instinctively

ducked toward the shadows beside him. He hid in the dark and looked toward the sound of footsteps.

A tall and lean figure soon came into his view, and as the figure got closer, Zeke’s eyes grew wide. He

had a speculation that occasionally popped up in his head, and he thought it was impossible, but it had

ultimately turned out to be possible.

‘It’s Jackson! It’s really him!” Zeke thought. That man could be a lookalike, but two different men could

not have resembled each other so much! Besides, Jackson was still dressed as what he had seen

yesterday.

‘Why… Why is Jackson here?’ Zeke thought, and a cold shudder ran through him. He felt a chill

creeping up his spine, and he began shivering in fear.

Zeke had stood in front of the narrow door before ducking to hide in the shadows. Now, Jackson stood

in front of the sarhe door and knocked on the door lightly.

A few moments later, someone opened the door.

“You’re back.” A voice greeted Jackson, and a beautiful face came into Zeke’s view.

Zeke felt suffocated and uncomfortable cholding on his breath, but he could not do anything about it.

It was Serenity who had opened the door.

‘Serenity and Jackson?! Are they dating? What’s going on? And why is Jackson dressed like this?”

Many doubts flashed in his

mind.

Then, Zeke heard Jackson answer, “Hmm. I’m home.”

Zeke had heard Jackson’s voice before and recognized it. This voice was the same voice he

remembered!

At this point, Zeke had no doubt-this man was Jackson

Just as Jackson was about to enter the house, he suddenly paused in his steps, and he turned his

gaze toward the dark corner where Zeke was hiding.

Zeke stiffened. In that instance, he felt as if all his blood had frozen, and even his breathing seemed to

have stopped.

“Jack? What are you looking at?” Serenity’s voice came.

“It’s nothing.” Jackson had a slight smile on his face as he walked into the house.

Bang! The door was shut closed.

Zeke took a long breath, and his hands and back were wet, covered in a cold sweat. It felt as if he had

narrowly escaped death.

“What the hell is going on?! Why is Jackson with Serenity?!’

Distracted by his thoughts, Zeke walked away and headed for his car. When he wanted to drive, he

found that his hands were shaking badly.

When he saw how Serenity and Jackson had gotten along earlier, the two seemed to know each other

very well. Besides, Serenity had referred to Jackson as Jack. He had never heard anyone call Jackson

such an intimate niclasame before.”
