Chapter 110 What if She Was Kidnapped?

The moment they brushed past each other, the man’s

expression changed. As thoughtful as he was, he immediately guessed it. His thin lips opened slightly

as he asked Matt, “Did you tell her?”

Matt didn’t admit it, neither did he deny it. He said, “Since she

is here, let her in first.”

Huston didn’t say anything but pursed his thin lips coldly.

Matt took two quick steps forward and let out a long sigh as if

he was afraid that Huston couldn’t hear him clearly. He said,

“All kinds of people are coming and going in the club. What if someone kidnapped her because she

was alone and looked

so innocent and harmless? I’m really worried…”

The man next to him suddenly stopped.

Matt failed to stop in his tracks. He took a step forward

Huston said, “Ask the driver to send her back.”

Matt replied, “I’m not in charge of delivering the message. If you want to do so, you can say it yourself.”

The man narrowed his eyes slightly and said, “Matt.”

Matt said, “All right, keep being stubborn. You’ll regret it when she’s kidnapped.”

The waiter in charge of leading the way awkwardly shifted his gaze away. He hung his head and

muttered in his heart, “I can’t hear anything.”

After a long while, a sharp light flashed through Huston’s eyes. He hid the unnatural expression on his

face and said coldly,

“Let her in.”

Seeing him walk away, Matt heaved a sigh of relief and quickly asked the waiter to lead Evelyn in.

Looking at her

slender figure, Matt suddenly felt a little distressed and asked, “Are you all right?”

Evelyn shook her head and said, “I’m fine.”

“Okay, do you want to sit in the room for a while, or come with

me?”

Evelyn was still nervous. She asked, “Are there a lot of people,

Matt? Will it be inconvenient for me to be there?”

“There will be a couple of colleagues from the same industry, but it won’t be inconvenient. I’ll simply

introduce you as my friend,” Matt said, casting another glance at her. “As long as

you’re ready.”

She hesitated for a moment before nodding. She said, “I’ll go

in with you.”

Matt didn’t expect her to be so brave. He smiled and said,

“Okay.”

Not long after Huston sat down in the private room, he saw

Matt bringing Evelyn into the private room. People present didn’t plan to bring female companions

today. So, when they

saw a beautiful girl with Matt, everyone made fun of Matt.

“Didn’t we agree on a men’s meeting, Mr. Harrison? You broke your promise,” a man with black-rimmed

glasses stated.

A man in a blue jacket sitting next to him echoed, “Yes, why

don’t you introduce this beautiful lady?”

Matt put his hand on Evelyn’s shoulder politely and pushed

her forward gently. He said, “This is my friend, Evelyn Shelton.”

After that, he introduced them one by one to Evelyn, “This is Tony Nixon, and that is Joey Larty. You

can just call them by

their names.”

He deliberately said the last half of his sentence to Huston, the

stubborn man who was sitting in the middle silently.

Evelyn was obedient. She greeted them, “Hello, Tony. Hello,

Joey.”

“Hey, hello. Come on, take your seat!” The man called Joey

patted the seat next to him.

Evelyn smiled and unconsciously glanced toward the man sitting in the middle. To her surprise, he was

also looking at

her. When their eyes met, her heart beat faster. She quickly averted her gaze. She could even hear her

heartbeat.
