Chapter 107

“I went to the villa to pick you up, as the maid said.”

“I have already packed my things, I just need to go back and get my suitcase be fore I can leave.”

“Okay.”

Returning to the villa, the maid was organizing and preparing the ingredients fo r dinner. Upon seeing Briana, she stopped what she was doing and walked over to Briana’s side.

“Ms. Schneider, your friend came to see you earlier, and I told him that you wer e at the police station.”

Briana nodded. “Hmm, I will be going out for a while, probably for about a week . When Mr. Yoder returns, could you please let him

know?”

The maid looked puzzled and said, “Ms. Schneider, aren’t you and Mr. Yoder mar ried? Why don’t you personally talk to him?”

Briana remained silent for a few seconds and then said, “He is currently at work and must be busy. I don’t want to disturb him, and besides. I have to take a sev en to eight–hour fiight. I won’t be able to call him when he finishes work.”

“Okay.”

The maid still felt strange in her heart, but she didn’t ask much. After all, Briana was the owner, and inquiring about the owner’ s personal matters might lead to dismissal.

In the evening, Maxim returned home and noticed that Briana was not there. He couldn’t help but frown and took out his phone to give her a

call.

He tried several times, but the phone was always in a shutdown state. He put down the phone, and a cold a ura emanated from his b*dy.

The maid brought the dishes to the table and carefully walked over to Maxim, s aying, “Mr. Yoder, Ms. Schneider asked me to tell you that she is going on a trip a nd may not be back for about a week.”

At the mention of these words, Maxim’s face immediately turned uglier, gritting his teeth he said, “When did she tell you?!”

Briana was really good!

What did she think of him when I didn’t personally tell him that I was going out and asked the maid to pass on the message?!

The maid was startled by Maxim’s cold expression. She stammered, “Y–y– you told me when you came back to pick up the suitcase in the afternoon aroun d three o’clock. Ms. Schneider said she might be on the plane when you finish w ork, so she couldn’t call you… So she asked me to tell you…”

Maxim’s face turned pale with anger. Was she afraid of disturbing him? She had never been so considerate before!

After a moment of silence, Maxim coldly said, “Alright, I got it. You can go back n ow.”

“Okay.”

After the maid left, Maxim called Rayan.

“Go and check where Briana booked her fiight to in the past, whether she went a lone or with someone else!”

Soon, Rayan replied to Maxim’s message.

“Mr. Yoder and Ms. Schneider booked tickets to Faywick, accompanied by a pers on named Wyatt, who is the heir of the Waylon family, a prominent pharmaceutical dynasty in Bridenville.”

Maxim couldn’t help but frown. How did she meet Wyatt?!

And Faywick is a small town located on the southwestern edge of the country. Sh e had probably never been there before, so why would she suddenly go to Faywi ck?

In the past. Maxim thought that Briana was like a blank sheet of paper, easily readable at first glance.

But now he feels like there is a veil between him and Briana, the more he tries to tear that veil off, the less he can see her clearly.

“Find someone to wait at the airport exit, I want to know their every move after they leave the airport!”

“Okay, Mr. Yoder.”

At one o’clock in the morning, the plane landed over Faywick.

Briana and Wyatt got off the plane and they got into the off– road vehicle that came to pick them up.

I opened my phone and there were no missed calls or messages on the

screen.

Briana pursed her l*ps, turned her phone upside down on the bag, and couldn’t help but frown.

What was she looking forward to?

She shook her head and suppressed the strange feeling in her heart,

It has been three years since I last came back.

Suddenly, the driver in the front row frowned and said, “Someone is following us !”
