Just as Kirk was about to start the car, the passenger door opened.

While Kirk was taken aback, Adrian sat in the passenger seat.

Kirk said nothing to him and drove straight to Michael’s clinic.

In the car, Adrian occasionally turned to look at Caroline in the back seat. “Is Caroline going to be okay?”

Kirk tightly gripped the steering wheel, making the veins appear in his arms. “She’ll be fine!”

Seeing this, Adrian didn’t ask anything else. He simply stared at Caroline silently.

Kirk drove as fast as he could. He was so fast that Adrian had to turn back and grab the armrest several

times.

With great difficulty, the three of them arrived at Michael’s clinic.

When Michael saw Kirk carrying Caroline, he quickly asked, “What happened?”

Kirk looked at Adrian.

Adrian didn’t mess around, either. He told them that Eddy mentioned Kirk in front of Caroline.

The more he spoke, the darker Kirk’s expression became. By the time Adrian had finished speaking, Kirk’s

expression was beyond stormy.

“Sir, I have to take her for treatment immediately.” After saying this, Michael pushed Caroline on her

wheelchair and left.

Kirk could no longer hold back his anger after suppressing it the entire way there. He punched the wall hard, and

blood flowed from his knuckle’s immediately.

Before Adrian could react, he saw Kirk walking toward the door. He quickly caught up with him. “Where

are you going?”

“To see Eddy.”

Adrian hastened his pace and stopped Kirk. “I can’t believe you still want to go after Eddy at a time like

this!”

“What can I do if I stay here?” Kirk looked at Adrian coldly. His question sounded very calm, as if he

wasn’t being impulsive at all.

Adrian was taken aback. “But…”

He raised his head. “I think Caroline would want you to keep her company, even if she’s unconscious.

Besides, don’t you want to see her?”

Kirk slowly loosened his clenched fists. After a long while, he lowered his hand.

Then, the two returned to the treatment room and sat stiffly outside, waiting for Michael to come out.

After half an hour, Michael walked out, sweating profusely.

“The madam’s condition was aggravated. She needs a lot of rest. After I gave her some medicine, I also gave her a

sedative. She won’t wake up for a while…”

Having said this, Michael looked at Kirk.

the treatment room. “Are you also the madam’s suitor?”

Adrian raised an eyebrow, surprised by Michael’s keen observation. However, he didn’t answer the latter’s

question.

Instead, he turned around and looked at the treatment room through the glass window.

“I think I’m dreaming, too. I can’t believe my rival is actually SY Group’s president!”

Michael also turned around and looked at Kirk, who was holding Caroline’s hand in the room.

He whispered, “Yeah. I didn’t expect SY Group’s president to be so affectionate.”

Their eyes landed on Kirk’s tall and tired figure.
