“Don’t compare yourself to me.” Avery stood up.

“I’ll definitely get married to Kirk.”

That had been her dream since she was young.

Finn lifted his head. “Although Caroline has lost her memories, I still think that there’s no way you can get

married to Kirk,” he said while staring into her eyes.

Avery’s expression darkened in an instant. “Who’s side are you on? Me or Caroline?”

Finn recalled the information he had read about Caroline. He maintained a half-smile on his face. “That’s

a very good question.”

A while later, he raised an eyebrow at Avery. “But I never take sides. I stand by facts.”

Avery snorted and clenched one of her hands into fists. Looking at Finn, she smiled evilly. “Let me tell you

something. I’ll definitely get married to Kirk. That’s a fact!”

Finn raised his eyebrows while looking at her leaving figure. “Is that so? Let’s wait and see,” he mumbled

Before going home, Gwen had informed her mother about Caroline’s situation. Thus, her mother only said.

Caroline asked, “Is Mrs. Jameson not happy that I’m here?”

In the room, Caroline took her phone out once Gwen had left. Since her phone had been reset, she

wondered if it was Eddy’s phone number.

She tried to call the number.

At that moment, Kirk was on the way back home. When he saw the caller ID on his phone, he thought

there was something wrong with his eyes.

Sean also saw the caller ID as well. “Are you going to take it?” he asked while glancing at Kirk.

Just as Sean finished speaking, Kirk accepted the call.

When Sean saw Kirk’s trembling fingers, he knew what was going on.

Caroline’s cautious voice sounded from the other end of the phone. “Hello. Is this Eddy?”

Kirk’s breath hitched.

Caroline lowered her gaze in disappointment when she didn’t hear a reply.

It seemed that it was the wrong number. She had already lost her memories. So there was no way she

could still remember Eddy’s number.

“I’m sorry. I must have gotten the wrong number.”

“There’s no need to apologize.” Kirk realized how hoarse his voice was when he spoke.

“You’re such a nice person,” Caroline replied with a smile.

“I didn’t expect the call to go through when I just randomly typed in the number. I still need to apologize

to you, though.”

Kirk furrowed his eyebrows, trying hard to suppress his tears. “That means it’s meant to be. Perhaps … we

can save each other’s number?”

“Sure. Wait-what’s your name?” For some reason, Caroline agreed. Plus, her heart pounded when she

heard this man’s voice, She didn’t know why.

“You can call me Mr. Y. What do you think of this name?”
