The medical project was linked with the higher-ups, and on the day of the contract signing, a significant number of journalists showed up. It was undeniably a buzzing event.

Before Josie stepped out, she received a parcel. It was meticulously packaged in a box, with the brand nembossed in gold letters originating from a foreign luxury brand.

The delivery man was all respectful when he said, "Mr. Russell specifically instructed that you must personally receive this." With a raised eyebrow, Josie quickly signed her own name.

After she opened the box, the first thing that caught her eye was a card that was marked with his distinctive handwriting. The line read: My rose will never wither. As long as there is love, nothing is impossible.

Beneath the card was a rose-colored skirt adorned with tiny roses that glittered like gold at the hem. Once worn, it would look as though flowers bloomed with each step she took.

Josie held the card between her fingers. A sudden urge to shed tears surprisingly overwhelmed her.

Dexter seldom spoke words of love, but he was a man of his word.

He had promised to return her a dress, and indeed, he did. He even chose such a significant day to return it to her.

Inside Morgan's office, he still seemed to be in a daze, as if the matter at hand wasn't of much significance.

Josie stood by the table, flipping through the contract she was about to sign. "Mr. Bastille, you have over two hundred million coming in. You seem rather indifferent, no?" Morgan responded languidly, "Underestimating me, are you? Once upon a time, I managed over two hundred billion in liquid assets without batting an eye." It seemed her perspective was rather limited. Josie leaned forward, almost sprawled across his desk. "I'm the one giving you over two hundred million, though." The beauty was dressed in a rose-colored dress that day, her slender figure exuding charm. Her eyes were expressive, radiating a myriad of emotions, successfully captivating her prey.

Likewise, Morgan leaned in, attempting to touch her hand. "You have my attention now." With an inscrutable expression, Morgan's face was devoid of any craftiness. Josie quickly pulled away, smacking the contract on his head. "Time's almost up. Aren't you going to change your clothes?" It was peculiar. Even with his flattery, Josie still couldn't discern his true intentions.

When Ryan arrived with clothes, Morgan happened to be smoothing out the wrinkles on his shirt. This coincidence led to a misunderstanding, causing Ryan to turn away.

"Cback!" Morgan called out.

Ryan was somewhat hesitant to look at Josie, who was standing next to him. "Two sets, one in black and the other in silver. Which one do you think would be more suitable?" After examining for a few seconds, Morgan finally glanced at Josie out of the corner of his eye. "Silver, I guess." Ryan then left the silver outfit behind.

Before he left, Josie called out, "Ryan!" Over the years, he hadn't really changed. He remained as professional as ever, his eyes largely devoid of emotion.

Ryan stood still as Josie approached him. "I need you to do something for me," she said.

"What?" "Tell your wife I want to see her." Ryan lifted his gaze, his emotions a whirlwind in that brief moment. "Ms. Warren, my wife has been somewhat of a homebody these past few years. Your request, I must say puts us in a bit of a bind." "Really? Then, could you ask her if it is her own choice to stay indoors or if someone is preventing her from leaving? If it comes to it, I can personally visit her." Josie, à considerate smile, even going as far as to adjust Ryan's collar for him. Outside, someone was urging, "It's about time." All Ryan could do was nod and depart.

Josie turned around to find Morgan already dressed in his suit, its silver lines flowing smoothly, enhancing his youthful charm. He approached her gesturing for her to take his arm. "Let's go, my lady." Josie paid him no mind and continued on her way, her high heels clicking against the pavement as she left. Morgan watched her delicate silhouette, silently shaking his head with a bittersweet smile lingering on his face.
